Markets

Generally, when you create a newsletter, you create it for a particular market. A market is a division within a client, for example, specific newspapers, broadcast stations or any department that operates separately within the control of the central organization.

Scheduling newsletters

You schedule newsletters to be either manual or automatic.

  • Automatic newsletters are sent on a predetermined schedule
  • You can send manual newsletters at any time when their status is Active

You might be able to use additional customized options, depending on your configuration.

Adding content to newsletters

To specify the content for a newsletter:

  • You can specify a URL to refresh content from a Web page or RSS feed
  • You can add content manually

This is available for manual newsletters only. You either enter content or paste it in to the newsletter.

Proofing newsletters

Proofing the content of the newsletter is an important step. You can send immediate proofs of a newsletter and also send proofs as part of the process of sending the final newsletter.

Users

Within an organization, several types of users are involved in creating newsletters and markets, as follows:

  • Supervisor

A single user responsible for configuring markets and administrators. The supervisor has full control over all markets and can perform the same functions as administrators and editors.

  • Administrator

A user responsible for the newsletters and editors within a market. The administrator can configure newsletters and manage editors. Administrators can also perform the same functions as editors.

  • Editor

    Users responsible for executing newsletters.
